Central Retail Vietnam and National Association of State Departments of Agriculture explore collaboration opportunities

On April 9th, Central Retail in Vietnam had the pleasure of hosting a high-level delegation from the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) at Thang Long Mall in Hanoi. The delegation included representatives from the Departments of Agriculture in Washington State, Arkansas, Alabama, Montana, Nebraska, and others, along with members of the Global Cold Chain Alliance.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for Central Retail Vietnam and NASDA representatives to exchange insights on the Vietnamese retail market and explore the opportunities and challenges facing Vietnam’s agricultural market.

The U.S. delegation presented information on the agricultural strengths of their respective states, highlighting products like beef, apples, and dairy. They also expressed a keen interest in collaborating with Central Retail to bring these offerings to Vietnamese consumers.

Beyond agricultural products, both parties explored the potential for bilateral trade, seeking opportunities to exchange innovative products from both nations.

Members of the delegation also spent time visiting Thang Long Mall to understand more about the shopping habits of Vietnamese people in the modern distribution system. During the tour, we took an opportunity to showcase our diverse selection of U.S.-imported products, with popular items like apples and oranges, alongside Delaware chicken drumsticks, prominently displayed on the shelves. The NASDA delegation expressed their gratitude to Central Retail Vietnam for the warm welcome and enthusiastically discussed potential future collaborations.
