Central Retail in Vietnam was honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for the “excellent achievements in promoting supply and consumption of agricultural products as well as supporting the community in the control and prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic”. Central Retail has been joining hands with MARD and jointly contributing to reduce the pandemic impact to agricultural supply chain through various initiatives, including the donation of VND 1 billion to procure 10,000 combos of agricultural products from the Mekong Delta river to support Covid-hit communities in HCMC, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, etc. as well as promotional programs to booth consumption and support farmers in tough times throughout our nationwide stores of GO!, Big C and Tops Market.

Moreover, Central Retail has been in close collaboration with authorities and localities to organize 7 Weekend Farmers Markets at GO!/Big C and nearly 10 seasonal specialty promotion weeks (Sa Pa Salmon, Bac Giang Lychee, Dong Thap Pangasius, etc.). Such initiatives have been well acknowledged by media and authorities, once again realizing the Company’s Vision of contributing to Vietnam’s prosperity and the quality of life of the people.
