On 14 August, leaders of Dong Nai City People’s Committee received a delegation from Central Retail in Vietnam (CRV), led by Mr Olivier Langlet, Group CEO of CRV, and Mr Ton Chirathivat, a Founding Family Member and President – Projects.

The meeting was chaired by Mr Nguyen Kim Long, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of Dong Nai City People’s Committee, with representatives from relevant municipal departments and agencies also in attendance.

During the meeting, CRV reflected on its nearly 30-year journey in Dong Nai, which began with Big C Dong Nai. In late 2025, the Group continued its investment in the province by renovating and upgrading GO! Dong Nai Mall, providing a more modern retail environment and an enhanced shopping experience for local consumers.

Central Retail Vietnam currently operates two shopping centres, two hypermarkets and two mini go! supermarkets in Dong Nai, representing cumulative investment of approximately US$80 million and providing employment for nearly 600 people.

With strong confidence in Dong Nai’s growth potential and a long-term commitment to investing in Vietnam, Central Retail aims to further expand its modern retail network. Alongside this expansion, the Group remains focused on enhancing quality, food safety and supply chain standards to provide consumers with fresh, high-quality products at accessible prices.

CRV also plans to increase local sourcing by strengthening connections with farmers, cooperatives and small and SMEs. These efforts are intended to help locally produced goods gain greater access to modern retail distribution channels and, over time, explore export opportunities. At the same time, the Group will continue to invest in developing young talent for Vietnam’s retail sector.

Recognising CRV’s longstanding presence and contribution to the local economy, Mr Nguyen Kim Long, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of Dong Nai City People’s Committee, highlighted the city’s growth potential, supported by new momentum in infrastructure and logistics. He also reaffirmed the city’s support for CRV and its readiness to work closely with the Group as it continues to invest and expand locally.

Both sides also discussed opportunities to strengthen the integration of local products into CRV’s distribution network, supporting farmers, cooperatives and SMEs while contributing to the development of more efficient and sustainable supply chains. The meeting further reinforced the positive partnership between Dong Nai City and CRV, paving the way for new opportunities to advance modern retail, strengthen local supply chains and create sustainable value for the community.
