On 13 May 2026, the leadership delegation of Central Retail in Vietnam, led by Mr. Olivier Langlet – Group CEO, held a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the Ministry’s headquarters in Hanoi.

During the meeting, Mr Olivier Langlet congratulated Minister Le Manh Hung on his appointment in the new Government, while also sharing Central Retail’s long-term development strategy in Vietnam. Accordingly, Central Retail plans to further expand its network of shopping malls, hypermarkets, and supermarkets across provinces and cities nationwide, contributing to the modernisation of the retail sector, creating employment opportunities for local communities, and supporting Vietnamese farmers and enterprises in bringing their products into the Group’s distribution system.

The Group also aims to further promote Vietnamese exports through Central Retail’s international network as well as other distribution channels globally. Currently, Vietnamese products account for approximately 95% of products distributed across Central Retail Vietnam’s system.

Minister Le Manh Hung highly appreciated Central Retail Vietnam’s contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic development over the years, particularly in advancing the modern retail market and contributing to the stability of domestic supply and demand. The Minister acknowledged Central Retail’s strong investment commitment in Vietnam, with 44 shopping malls and 330 stores across 26 provinces and cities nationwide, while also recognising the Group’s efforts in promoting the consumption and export of Vietnamese goods, as well as supporting Vietnamese businesses in joining international supply chains.

The Minister also commended Central Retail’s continued expansion plans in Vietnam, alongside its “Better For Vietnam” strategy, which aims to foster the development of a modern, green, and sustainable retail ecosystem. Through these efforts, Central Retail continues to support Vietnamese businesses in bringing their products into modern trade channels, thereby contributing to the economic growth targets set by the Government.
