On May 17 in Hanoi, Central Retail in Vietnam was honored to participate in the 2024 North Region Industry and Trade Conference.
The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Mr. Le Hong Son, Permanent Deputy Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee; and leaders of provincial People’s Committees and Departments of Industry and Trade across the North.
At the conference, a Central Retail representative delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the company’s efforts to collaborate with provinces to promote the consumption of local specialties and OCOP products through Product Week, direct connections with farmers and cooperatives through supply and demand conferences, and the promotion of local products in the company’s retail system. Central Retail also proposed that the Departments of Industry and Trade in the 28 provinces and cities support the introduction of reputable suppliers to bring provincial products into Central Retail’s retail system. The company also requested advice on locations for the company to invest in developing retail infrastructure and opening new hypermarkets, thereby providing consumers with more shopping destinations, creating more job opportunities for local people, contributing to economic growth, and improving living standards for local people.
