Ho Chi Minh City, 16 April 2020 – Realizing the needs of medical equipment for the alarming fight against Covid-19, Central Retail in Vietnam donated 70,000 3-layer masks and 9,000 anti-drop glasses for two first-line hospitals in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This action was a testimonial for the company’s Vision of “contributing to Vietnam’s prosperity and enhancing the quality of life of the people.”
On 16 April 2020, representatives of Central Retail in Vietnam donated 35,000 medical masks and 4,500 anti-drop glasses to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases (Dong Anh, Hanoi city). On the same day, representatives of Central Retail in Vietnam also donated 35,000 medical masks and 4,500 anti-drop glasses to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City (764 Vo Van Kiet, Ward 1, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City).
Representative of Central Retail in Vietnam said: “We hope that our small contribution will help ensure safety for the medical staff in the fight against Covid-19. This comes from our gratitude towards Vietnam’s government and the frontline medical force.”
Previously, on 26 March 2020, Central Retail in Vietnam donated 4 negative pressure rooms for Covid-19 patients that cost 2 billion VND. 2 of the 4 rooms were effectively used at Can Gio District Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) while the remaining rooms were installed at Ha Dong General Hospital and Bac Thang Long Hospital (Hanoi).

In order to cope with the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, to ensure the health of the customers and employees, Central Retail in Vietnam has strictly implemented pandemic prevention measures across all malls & stores following the regulations and guidelines of the Ministry of Health. The disinfection spraying is conducted weekly by professional units, while all employees of the premises at Central Retail’s malls are required to comply Covid-19 prevention measures. All malls & stores are equipped with antiseptic hand sanitizer for customers when shopping, while all working staff are fully equipped with protective equipment, including face masks, hand sanitizer, anti-drop glasses, etc.
