On 03 August 2020, through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, the representative of Central Retail in Vietnam donated 20,000 medical masks & 300 antiseptic liquid bottles to support the fight against Covid-19 in Da Nang. “We hope that our small contribution will help ensure safety for the medical staff in the fight against Covid-19. This comes from our gratitude towards Da Nang’s authorities and the frontline medical force,” shared by a representative of Central Retail in Vietnam.
To accommodate the needs of customers during Covid-19 pandemic, the number of goods at Big C Da Nang has been vastly increased, especially the necessities such as instant noodles, sausages, frozen food, milk, bread, vegetables, etc. as well as preventive products like hand sanitizers or medical masks. Big C Da Nang has also proactively discussed with suppliers to ensure timely sourcing, joining hands with the customers in the fight against Covid-19. On 16 April 2020, representatives of Central Retail in Vietnam donated 35.000 medical masks and 4.500 anti-drop glasses for the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases (Dong Anh, Ha Noi). On the same day, representatives of Central Retail in Vietnam also donated 35.000 medical masks and 4.500 anti-drop glasses for Hospital of Tropical Diseases – Ho Chi Minh City (764 Vo Van Kiet Street, Ward 1, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City).
Previously, on 26 March 2020, Central Retail in Vietnam also handed over 4 negative pressure rooms with the cost of 2 billion VND to assist the Covid-19 treatment. 2 of the 4 rooms were effectively used at Can Gio Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City), while the rest were installed and operated at Ha Dong General Hospital and Bac Thang Long Hospital (Ha Noi).
