In recent efforts to promote local products, Central Retail in Vietnam Retail Vietnam has actively collaborated with the Departments of Industry and Trade in various provinces across the country to organize Supply-Demand Connection Conferences.
These events, held on April 5, 12, and 17, 2024, brought together approximately 100 local businesses from Ha Nam, Bac Lieu, and Ninh Thuan Provinces with Central Retail’s Commercial teams and Corporate Affairs representatives.
The Supply-Demand Connection Conferences have provided an excellent platform for Central Retail’s Commercial team to connect with potential suppliers directly.
This initiative aims to introduce fresh food, local specialties, and OCOP products from these provinces to Central Retail’s food retail chains, including GO!, Big C, and Tops Market, across Vietnam.
As a leading retailer with a nationwide distribution network, Central Retail Vietnam is committed to partnering with local Departments of Industry and Trade to organize supply-demand connection programs. These programs not only boost production and business activities but also promote and support the consumption of Vietnamese products.
Many initiatives have been well received by the local authorities such as the direct purchase of agricultural products from farmers and cooperatives at a 0% rebate; Local Produce Week; OCOP Week ; Seasonal Fruit Festival…at GO! and Big C stores. Central Retail is committed to maintaining the proportion of Vietnamese products in its GO! and Big C food retail system at over 90%.
