On February 22nd, representatives of Central Group and Central Retail Vietnam had the honor to welcome Minister Le Minh Hoan and a delegation from Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) to visit centralwOrld, Thailand. The visit aimed to foster stronger agricultural ties and explore mutually beneficial trade opportunities.
The delegation, including representatives from Dong Thap and Nghe An provinces alongside Vietnamese businesses, actively sought opportunities for growth in the Thai market.
Giving the welcome remarks, Ms. Jariya Chirathivat, Executive Vice President, Business Development, Central Group and Legal Representative of Central Retail Vietnam, emphasized the importance of strengthening agricultural ties between the two nations.
To gain insights into Central Group’s commitment to sustainability, the delegation visited several initiatives of Central Group, including Jing Jai Market with the commitment to supporting local farmers and promoting their products; GoodGoods introduces the culture and traditional handicrafts and supports Thailand’s OTOPs; Tops Food Hall offers organic produce, including successful Vietnamese exports like dragon fruit, sweet potatoes, and longan. Following the tour, Minister Le Minh Hoan emphasized confidence that the visit would significantly contribute to the strengthening of the cooperative relationship between Vietnamese and Thai agriculture.
