Central Retail Supports Educational Development in Ben Tre with New Day-Boarding Room for Tan Thuy Primary School

On March 14, 2024, Central Retail in Vietnam hosted the Handover Ceremony to officially present the day-boarding room and kitchen equipment to Tan Thuy Primary School in Ba Tri District, Ben Tre Province where we have our GO! Mall Ben Tre operation from 2020. The project aims to improve the school’s educational quality and provide better living and learning conditions for students.

The event welcomed the attendance of Representatives from Ba Tri District People’s Committee, Ba Tri District Department of Education and Training; Tan Thuy Ward’s People’s Committee; Tan Thuy Primary School Headmaster, the teacher board, students together with Central Retail Vietnam representatives from Corporate Affairs, GO! Mall, GO! Hypermarket Ben Tre and Nguyen Kim Ben Tre.

Mr. Ho Van Nghi, Principal of Tan Thuy Primary School, shared: “The day-boarding room and kitchen equipment will significantly benefit our 640 students. It will enable them to have better living and learning conditions, meeting the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program. Notably, this project marks a significant milestone, making Tan Thuy the third primary school in the district to offer a boarding program and paving the way for the school to achieve national standard recognition in the near future.”

The handover ceremony not only benefited Tan Thuy Primary School but also provided an opportunity for GO! Ben Tre employees to contribute to the local community. This event further strengthens the relationship between Central Retail and local authorities.

The project, with a total value of nearly 660 million VND, is part of Central Retail Vietnam’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment “One Mall – One School, which focuses on providing financial support to schools, building and upgrading infrastructure, and providing better teaching and learning tools for children. To date, the CSR initiative has sponsored more than 7.5 billion VND to 12 primary, secondary, and high schools, benefiting 7,000 children by providing them with better access to quality educational facilities. This initiative reflects Central Retail Vietnam’s vision of “contributing to the prosperity of Vietnam and enhancing the quality of life for Vietnamese people.
