P&G, Central Retail Launch “Forests for Good” 2025: Aiming to plant 35,000 Trees Across Vietnam in 3 years

On May 27, 2025, at GO! An Lac (HCMC), the “𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝” reforestation program 2025, a joint initiative by Procter & Gamble Vietnam and Central Retail in Vietnam, was officially launched.

In its third edition, this meaningful program is expanding its efforts with a new objective: planting 20,000 more trees at the Mua Xuan Farm in Hau Giang province. This will raise the total number of trees planted nationwide by the program to an impressive 35,000, bolstering Vietnam’s green spaces.

This year’s launch ceremony featured the presence of singer Isaac, a familiar face who has been a part of this initiative for the past three years.

A key event highlight was the forest planting commitment ceremony, where partners signed agreements, demonstrating unified determination for a greener and more sustainable Vietnam.

This year, the “Forests For Good” program is expected to continue planting 20,000 cajeput trees at the Mua Xuan Farm (Hau Giang province) – a crucial wetland area in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Additionally, a volunteer tree planting day for employees will be organized, involving 1,000 trees. On 0.5 hectares of barren land, a cajeput forest will be established, which is projected to absorb over 100 tons of CO₂ annually and provide a green habitat for over 20,000 wild birds of 50 different species, including rare ones listed in the Vietnam Red Data Book. The project promises to bring practical ecological and economic benefits to the local community, which is directly facing the impacts of climate change.

The event not only demonstrates the long-term commitment of both companies to the environment but also raises consumer awareness, with the participation of leaders from P&G Vietnam, Central Retail Vietnam, and the Gaia Nature Conservation Center.
