On 30 July 2026, Mr. Tran Duc Thang, Politburo Member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, chaired a meeting with the leadership delegation of Central Retail Vietnam, led by Mr. Olivier Langlet, Group CEO. The delegation also included Mr. Ton Chirathivat, Member of the Founding Family and General Director, together with other senior executives of the Group.

The meeting focused on Central Retail’s future investment expansion in Hanoi, aligned with the Capital City’s 100-year Master Plan and supported by the rapid development of transport infrastructure, new urban areas and satellite cities.

During the meeting, the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee reaffirmed that Hanoi welcomes reputable and capable investors and expressed his hope that Central Retail would continue expanding its presence in the Capital. He also encouraged the Group to strengthen cooperation with the City’s relevant departments in implementing product traceability, supporting the development of production areas, enhancing packaging and production capabilities for farmers and suppliers, and building an integrated supply chain from production to modern retail.

To facilitate future investment projects, the Secretary assigned Mr. Do Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, to direct relevant departments and agencies to work closely with Central Retail in identifying suitable investment locations and development opportunities, while continuing to address practical issues arising during project implementation in accordance with Vietnamese law.

The Secretary also underscored the principle of a “win-win partnership”, reaffirming that Hanoi would continue to accompany and create favourable conditions for Central Retail to study, develop and implement new investment projects, while supporting the Group’s long-term growth in the Capital.

Concluding the meeting, the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee expressed his hope to soon attend the groundbreaking ceremony of a new large-scale Central Retail shopping centre in Hanoi.
