Central Retail Vietnam’s Livelihood For Community (L4C) Program Reviews Progress at 5th Steering Committee Meeting

On December 16th, Central Retail in Vietnam hosted the Steering Committee meeting of the Livelihood for Community (L4C) program at the Head Office.

This 5th Steering Committee meeting marked a significant milestone – the 7th anniversary of L4C, aiming to review and update progress on project execution and gather valuable advice on how to elevate the program to further support communities in need.

L4C is an initiative of Central Retail Vietnam that empowers small-holder farmers in remote areas, enabling them to earn sustainable incomes by leveraging our retail expertise and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Founded in November 2017, the L4C program is managed by Charter and overseen by a Steering Committee and project team. Annual Steering Committee meetings are crucial for program guidance.

To date, the L4C program has successfully implemented six projects across three provinces, beneficial 126 households, and achieved impressive results: 193 tons of sales, generating a total revenue of 177,591 USD. This represents a 15.5% increase in turnover and a 5.7% increase in volume compared to the previous year.

This success would not have been possible without the invaluable contributions of the independent Steering Committee. Their collective expertise has been instrumental in guiding the program to new heights.

By working together toward the common goal of improving the livelihoods of Vietnamese farmers, we contribute to a brighter future for disadvantaged communities, while staying true to our vision of enhancing the lives of the Vietnamese people.
