Mekong Delta Mango Week supports Vietnamese agricultural products

On the morning of March 22 at GO! An Lac (Ho Chi Minh City), Central Retail in Vietnam organized the Opening Ceremony of the ๐Œ๐ž๐ค๐จ๐ง๐  ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฅ๐ญ๐š ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐ ๐จ ๐–๐ž๐ž๐ค ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’.

The event had the participation of Mr. Tran Phu Lu – Director of Investment & Trade Promotion Centre of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huan – Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of An Giang Province; Mr. Ngo Hong Y, Head of the Trade Management Department, Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City; Suppliers with OCOP-certified mango products alongside Central Retail Vietnam’s management team.

Building upon the success of the 2023 event, the Mango Week this year introduces famous mango varieties such as Cat Chu mango, Cat Hoa Loc mango, Tuong mango, Cat Bo mango, and Taiwanese mangoโ€ฆ. coming from An Giang, Dong Thap and Tien Giang provincesโ€ฆ,

The event goes beyond just promoting exceptional Mekong Delta mangoes. It aims to cultivate seasonal fruit consumption habits in the community; Build and develop local Vietnamese agricultural product brands for wider consumer awareness therefore contributing to creating a stable market for farmers and fostering social collaboration for manufacturer development and sustainable growth.

Central Retail takes value addition a step further by introducing delectable mango-based food products like mango shrimp and meat salad, five-color sticky rice with mango, and crowd-pleasing street food options such as mango cake, juiceโ€ฆ

The Mango Week runs until March 27th, 2024, across Central Retail Vietnam’s retail chains (GO!, Big C, and Tops Market), expected to consume about 90 tons of mango.
