On February 1st at GO! An Lac (Ho Chi Minh City), the management team of Central Retail in Vietnam and GO! Hypermarket had the honor to welcome a delegation of city leaders led by Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, aiming to understand GO!’s preparations and operations for the upcoming Tet holiday.
The delegations included representatives from the Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Food Safety and Hygiene, Department of Finance, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Binh Tan District People’s Committee.
During the meeting, Mr. Dung underscored the importance of guaranteeing food safety and price stability and promoting Vietnamese products during Tet. He commended Central Retail for its dedication to Vietnamese offerings, evidenced by over 90% of products on shelves being locally sourced, and requested continued efforts to ensure affordable options for customers during this high season.
In response, representatives of the company highlighted their preparations for Tet, including:
– Stocking essential items at economical prices.
– Implementing locking price and stabilization programs.Offering promotions with discounts of up to 50% on key food items closer to Tet.
– Prioritizing display of “One Commune One Product” (OCOP) and local specialties.
Mr. Dung expressed his appreciation for Central Retail’s comprehensive preparations and commitment to aligning with the government’s objectives. He emphasized the desire for ongoing collaboration and encouraged the company to continue championing Vietnamese products and influencing consumer behavior towards “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”.
