On 18th October, Central Retail Vietnam and Tona Syntegra Solar (TSS) officially signed a partnership agreement to implement solutions toward Central Retail’s Net Zero vision.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), TSS will provide and install Rooftop solar power systems; Solar carports; Energy storage systems (as needed); Energy efficiency solutions, and Green Transport Solutions such as electric forklifts and trucks at Central Retail’s mini-go! network, to reduce energy consumption and increase the use of renewable energy sources.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Olivier Langlet, Group CEO of Central Retail Vietnam, stated: “Central Retail Vietnam is dedicated to pioneering sustainable development and becoming a 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 & 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫. Our collaboration with TSS will accelerate our Net Zero ambitions. Together, we will develop and implement innovative energy solutions that improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. This partnership also lays the groundwork for our logistics operations, contributing to a greener supply chain across our business.”

The partnership between Central Retail Vietnam and TSS has already yielded tangible results. The rooftop solar power system at the mini go! Nhon Trach is now fully operational, generating over 551 MWh of renewable energy annually. This reduces CO2 emissions by 373 tons per year, equivalent to the carbon sequestered by nearly 5,595 trees.
Central Retail Vietnam plans to expand this initiative by installing solar panels across its mini-go network.
These efforts are part of Central Retail’s broader ReNEW sustainability strategy, which focuses on achieving immediate and long-term environmental goals. Through such initiatives, Central Retail actively contributes to Vietnam’s national target of reaching net zero emissions by 2050.
