On 06 August 2020, to join hands with Vietnamese people in the battle against Covid-19, Central Retail in Vietnam continues to make another donation of 10 tons of fresh, high-quality vegetables and fruits to Danang Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs and Danang Center for Disease Control in response to the need of food supply for everyone involved in the fight against Covid-19 in Danang during this difficult time when the city is under social distancing order.
Among 10 tons of vegetables and fruits including cabbage, pumpkin, zucchini, tomato, carrot, sweet potato, chayote, lettuce, lemon, passion fruit, avocado, etc., 9 tons will be given to Danang Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs while the other 1 ton will be given to Danang Center for Disease Control. These two representatives will disseminate the donated vegetables and fruits to public kitchens that cook and distribute nutritious & hygienic meals to frontline health workers and quarantined people in the hospitals around the city.
Prior to this contribution, Central Retail had donated 20,000 masks and 300 bottles of hand sanitizer to the frontline health workers in Danang early this month. These practical actions are the most vivid evidence of the company’s commitment to support the country and Vietnamese people in the battle against Covid-19.
