On June 17 at GO! Mall An Lac (HCMC), Central Retail in Vietnam hosted a group of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students from The Institute of Entrepreneurial Science Ayothaya (IESA). The visit, part of their “Opportunity for Thai Business in Vietnam” course, focused on understanding successful Thai companies operating in Vietnam, particularly within the retail sector.
Mr. Chalermchai Pornsiripiyakool, Head of CSR & International Corporate Affairs, provided the students with valuable insights on Central Retail’s business strategies and operational approaches tailored specifically for the Vietnamese market. He further emphasized the importance of understanding consumer behavior, highlighting key differences between Vietnamese and Thai consumers – preferences, purchasing power, and work environment dynamics – all crucial knowledge for success in Vietnam.
Seizing the opportunity, students embarked on a tour of Central Retail’s diverse store formats, including KUBO, Nguyen Kim, and GO! Hypermarket. This immersion allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of how Central Retail caters to the specific needs and preferences of Vietnamese consumers.
This visit to GO! Mall An Lac exemplifies Central Retail’s commitment to fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. By offering these future business leaders a glimpse into the company’s successful operations, Central Retail empowers the next generation of Thai entrepreneurs venturing into the Vietnamese market.
