On July 3, 2024, at Big C Thang Long (Hanoi), Central Retail in Vietnam announced its partnership with the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment and the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade to launch ?? ??????? ??? ???. This initiative aims to encourage consumers to reduce their use of plastic bags and contribute to environmental protection.
During the Big C Thang Long event, the Hypermarket actively promoted the initiative and encouraged customers to bring reusable bags for eco-friendly alternatives. Big C Thang Long would also offer GO! eco-friendly fabric bags and other gifts to customers who bring their own bags.

In addition to the initiative in Hanoi, on the same day, Central Retail with the Hue – Urban plastic reduction in Central Vietnam project, funded by WWF-Norway (through WWF-Vietnam) and implemented by the Hue City People’s Committee, launched the ?? ??????? ??? ????? program at GO! Huế.
Under this program, GO! Huế will refrain from providing plastic bags at checkout counters every Wednesday throughout July. The Hypermarket will also intensify communication efforts to promote the initiative and encourage Huế residents and tourists to actively participate in reducing plastic bag consumption.
