Ho Chi Minh City, 26 March 2020, Amidst the growing situation of Covid-19 pandemic, in response to the call from the government, Central Retail in Vietnam donated 4 negative pressure rooms to hospitals worth 2 billion VND in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This action was a testimonial of the company’s Vision of “contributing to Vietnam’s prosperity and enhancing the quality of life of the people.”
These negative pressure rooms are fully equipped with medical & emergency equipment used for isolating patients who are suspected of being infected with Covid-19 or waiting for the second test result. The medical staff can communicate with the patients through camera to avoid cross-contamination. 2 rooms were donated to hospitals in Hanoi while the rest went to Ho Chi Minh City.
A representative of Central Retail in Vietnam said: “Understanding the urgent need of negative pressure rooms to avoid cross-contamination and potential outbreak, we dedicate this donation to join hands with the government and authorities in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.”
