On 17 September 2026, as part of Vietnamese Week in Thailand 2026, Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with Central Group and Central Retail, organized a business matching program between Vietnamese and Thai enterprises in Bangkok.
The programme welcomed representatives of Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as leaders from relevant authorities and departments of the participating provinces and cities. It also brought together more than 60 Vietnamese businesses from Lao Cai, Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and An Giang.

During the programme, participating businesses engaged directly with buying teams from several Central Group business units in Thailand, including Central Food Retail, Central Food Wholesale, Centara Hotels & Resorts and Central Home Group. The sessions provided opportunities for businesses to showcase their products, gain insights into market demand and receive direct feedback on product quality, packaging, design and their ability to meet the requirements of international distribution networks.

Mr Paul Le, Vice President of Trade Promotion, Central Retail Vietnam, said: “The business matching programme plays an important role in helping Vietnamese businesses broaden their perspective on international markets through direct exchanges and feedback from Central Retail Thailand’s buying teams. This, in turn, enables businesses to further improve their packaging and product design, while investing more strongly in brand building as they seek to reach global markets.”

Over successive editions, a number of participating Vietnamese businesses have gradually brought their products to international markets. Notably, Queenam chocolate is now available at Tops stores in Thailand, while other businesses have entered markets including Japan and the United States. Some have also expanded their production capacity following successful business connections.
