Central Retail Vietnam Successfully Implements Three Livelihood for Community Projects in 2025

This update was shared at the 6th Steering Committee Meeting of the Livelihood for Community (L4C) programme, held on December 10 at Central Retail Vietnam’s Stores Support Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

The meeting was attended by Steering Committee members from the Vietnam Retailers Association, Central Retail Vietnam’s leadership team, members of the L4C Steering Committee, and the project implementation team.

At the meeting, the L4C programme representative reported that to date, the initiative has successfully implemented six projects across six provinces, improving livelihoods for 415 households. In 2025 alone, total sales volume reached 269 tonnes of products, generating revenue of USD 242,000, representing a 40% increase in revenue and a 39% rise in volume year-on-year.

These achievements were made possible thanks to the dedicated contributions and in-depth guidance of the Steering Committee. The continued engagement of its members remains a vital foundation for the programme’s sustained growth.

On this occasion, the Steering Committee also reviewed six new project proposals to identify those most suitable for implementation in the next phase.

Established in November 2017, the L4C programme operates under a formal governance framework and is overseen by the Steering Committee and the project team. Annual Steering Committee meetings play a critical role in setting strategic direction, ensuring that the programme continues to develop effectively and sustainably. Through L4C, Central Retail Vietnam continues to bring its “Better for Vietnam” commitment to life by supporting farmers’ livelihoods and contributing to a more sustainable future for local communities.
