On December 18th, Central Retail in Vietnam officially opened its first mini go! supermarket in Huong Tra Town, Hue City. This marks the 14th mini go! for Central Retail Vietnam and the first one in Hue.
The grand opening was graced by the presence of Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province; Mr Ha Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Luong Bay, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Thua Thien Hue Province; leaders of Huong Tra Town, leaders of Central Retail Vietnam, and operational team members.
Spanning over 3,000 square meters, the Huong Tra mini go! is designed with “Eat, Shop, Play” concept, catering to the diverse needs of residents in Huong Tra town and surrounding areas. From groceries and daily necessities to consumer goods and innovative entertainment options, the supermarket offers a one-stop shopping experience.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Huong Tra Town, stated, “Today’s event marks a significant milestone in our efforts to expand investment and business activities, contributing to the transformation of Huong Tra Town. This modern shopping and entertainment destination will enhance our residents’ quality of life and contribute to our locality’s socio-economic development in the coming years. The supermarket will also stimulate trade, stabilize prices, and develop the service industry in our town, thereby promoting socio-economic development and creating job opportunities for local people”.
Specifically, over 100 local workers have been provided employment opportunities, thereby boosting Huong Tra Town’s and neighboring areas’ economic development.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung added that the opening of the Huong Tra mini go! is a highlight as Thua Thien Hue Province is poised to become the centrally-governed city of Hue on January 1st, 2025, as per National Assembly Resolution 175.
