On August 22nd, Central Retail in Vietnam organized the grand opening of the “Proud of Vietnamese Specialties” festival at GO! Long Bien, Hanoi. This event is held in celebration of our National Day on September 2nd. We hope it serves as a wonderful opportunity for people across the country to embrace the spirit of National Day, while enjoying the unique culinary experiences and regional specialties of Vietnam. Through this festival, we aim to deepen the sense of pride in our nation and its people.
The event welcomed distinguished guests from the Ministry of Industry and Trade; The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, the Management team of Central Retail Vietnam, and a large number of consumers.
In his opening speech, Mr. Jose Mestre, Commercial Director of Fresh Food at Central Retail Vietnam, emphasized that the festival is more than just a commercial event; it is a meticulously curated celebration of Vietnamese pride.
The “Proud of Vietnamese Specialties” festival, the first of its kind organized by Central Retail Vietnam, is taking place throughout the National Day holiday at GO!, Big C, and Tops Market nationwide. The event will showcase a wide range of culinary products from all three regions of Vietnam, including notable OCOP products such as Hanoi rice vermicelli, Quang Ninh oyster meat, Hue beef noodle soup, and Phu Quoc fish sauce.
These efforts by Central Retail to connect, promote, and distribute Vietnamese products have been highly commended by Mr. Bui Quang Hung, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
