Central Retail in Vietnam and ITPC organized the seminar “Green Consumer Trends and Export Information to Thailand in 2024”

On 23rd April, Central Retail in Vietnam joined hands with the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) to organize the seminar “Green Consumer Trends and Export Information to Thailand in 2024” to support businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Thuan Province in capturing new consumer trends to expand their domestic and export markets.

At the seminar, a representative from the company shared with 80 participating businesses about green consumer trends in the retail industry.

According to Central Retail, promoting environmental protection is a trend for both the manufacturing and retail sectors. Therefore, the company has gradually transformed its procurement practices, prioritizing products with green production processes, clean cultivation, reduced environmental pollution, and recycled packaging. The company also promotes VietGAP and organic products, aiming to standardize fruits and vegetables to meet VietGAP and Global GAP standards.

In addition, the representative of Central Retail Vietnam also updated on consumer trends and export information to the Thai market; and the procedures and criteria for participating in GO!’s private label products.

Through the seminar, the organizers hope to support Vietnamese businesses have new directions to explore many opportunities to penetrate the Thai market; At the same time, Vietnamese businesses self-assess their products, aiming to improve product quality and export competitiveness of Vietnamese goods to potential export markets.

On this occasion, there was also a business matching session between the Commercial team of Central Retail Vietnam and 80 businesses participating in the event, creating an opportunity for businesses to bring more products to the GO! Hypermarket chain.
