From 21-25 September, Central Retail in Vietnam proudly participated in the second Ho Chi Minh City Green Products and Services Showcase (GRECO 2024), attracting significant attention from both domestic and international delegates with our interactive booth.
During the 5-day event, visitors were introduced to Central Retail’s Green Journey, featuring a series of initiatives aligned with our hashtag#ReNew strategy, including:
๐ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ง๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐ฌ ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ:
– Solar panels installed at 23 GO! Mall sites, contributing 22 million kWh/year of renewable energy to the national grid, supporting environmental protection.
– EV chargers are available at GO! Mall locations nationwide.
– Free air-cooling systems installed at 5 GO! Malls, reducing CO2 emissions by 53,249 metric tons.
– Inverter stabilizers at 7 GO! Malls, cutting energy use by 746,567 MWh and reducing 154,592 metric tons of CO2e.

– “Bring your own shopping bag” or initiatives to reduce plastic bag consumption at our stores.
– Sparklomats, modern reverse vending machines that collect and recycle plastic bottles and aluminum cans in exchange for rewards.
โจ Central Retail also demonstrated its strong support for the Vietnamese governmentโs ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
GRECO 2024 was organized under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, led by the Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC), in collaboration with the Departments of Foreign Affairs, Culture and Sports, Science and Technology, and other relevant agencies. Speaking at the event, Mr. Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, emphasized that GRECO 2024 aims to foster knowledge exchange, and collaboration, and build a green production ecosystem that embraces a circular economy model.
